Privacy Policy
1. Overview
MacPilot (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user of the MacPilot application and website.
2. Data We Collect
Account data
When you register, we store your email address and a hardware identifier. Your email is used solely for license management and critical service communications.
License validation
MacPilot sends your license key and hardware ID to our license server on startup. No automation data, screen content, or file content is ever transmitted.
Payment data
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store payment card information. Stripe may collect and process payment data subject to their own privacy policy.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
- Screen contents or screenshots
- Keystrokes or input data
- File contents or file system access patterns
- Automation commands or Claude conversation content
- Crash reports or telemetry (unless you opt in explicitly)
4. Data Retention
License records are retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing privacy@macpilot.dev. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days.
5. Third-Party Services
We use Cloudflare Workers to host our license API and Stripe for payment processing. Both services have their own privacy policies. We do not sell or share your personal data with any other third parties.
